Notes: Known to most fans as Sasshi (of circle Chikyuu-ya), Yumeka-sensei is rumored to be a layout artist for Studio Gibli.
Also known as Sahara Mizu.
Known as Yumeka Sumono in the BL community but has also published under the names Sahara Mizu (佐原ミズ) for her seinen works, Sahara Keita (佐原恵太) for her shoujo works and Chikyuya/Sasshi (地球屋/さっし) for doujinshi.
In her author notes at the end of her works, she often mentions that she feels she did not do a good enough job. She is often not satisfied with what she has done and claims that her stories don’t make sense. However, she is grateful to the people she works with.

Appreciation: I really liked her art and stories, even though they are indeed too aerial sometimes (like they are floating around and there’s no leading path), they show such humanity, a pure spontaneous show of affection that makes you wonder if the characters aren’t real people.

This and the beautiful art is what caught me. She’s not very descriptive, preferring to lead and explain the story by the images (an image is 1000 words worth, ne?). I like it,  it contributes greatly to the verisimilitude (which is well portrayed by the diversity of relationships too) and impact, however it may also be risky, because it can create the flaws mentioned earlier.

Mild would be how I would describe, not properly works to follow, since the stories don’t concede it, but certainly works to admire.
